We worked with Byrne Bros Formwork to manufacture specific shutters to allow these Cave & Cross concrete sculptures to be cast for the Timber Lodge & Tumbling Playground being developed within the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in Stratford, London.
Single use was all that was required from the shutters but both sets had to be lined with scoreced flame treated timbers, all stepped in thickness to give the required surface finish the designer created.
Working to a tight timescale, the units were required on site within 6 weeks of the order being placed. The large cross sculpture measured 10 x 4 x 4 metres. Due to their size and location, night time movements had to be undertaken for the final delivery to site.
