One of Patterns & Moulds largest projects to date, we supplied £1.1 million worth of GRP Shuttering to Byrne Bros for the redevelopment of the Millennium Dome into the O2 Arena.
Entire floor slabs cast using GRP shutters gave this structure a superb finish to the concrete and allowed accurate control of joint alignment to architectural features.
The project involved months of drawing and scheduling before we could commence the manufacture of hundreds of individual shutters. Due to the location, the elliptical and radial nature of the arena, almost every shutter was unique and we were in manufacturing mode for nine months.
Continued collaboration with the team we’d worked with on the Emirates Stadium project meant this challenging project was a pleasure for all involved.
